A book launch engineered as a mass-participation game - built to drive pre-sale urgency, convert readers into contestants, and culminate in a MrBeast-scale finale.

Sometimes it's an earned stunt. Other times it's a fully designed flagship activation.
We fuse experience design, event production, and creative technology to turn moments into emotion, memory, and attention that sticks.

We've picked up some of the shiniest trophies on the biggest stages — but our clients hire us for the work, not the hardware.
The architecture is designed around what the launch needs people to do, not just what we need them to see. The job is not to advertise a book. It is to turn the book into the only way in.
Make the countdown feel active before launch, with pre-sale prompts, clue-like behaviors, and visible social momentum.
Make owning the book feel functional. The book is not merch or collateral. It is the tool required to progress.
Use timed rounds, social clue drops, and elimination-state mechanics to bring the audience back repeatedly.
Campaign idea
A launch mechanic where the story does not end on the page. It becomes the interface for a real-world contest, with every chapter, phrase, name, number, and illustration acting as potential evidence.
Four campaign phases

Signal that something is coming. Establish the mystery, the countdown, and the pre-sale path.

Make the contest concrete. Turn passive awareness into intent: follow, pre-order, prepare.

Open the game. Authenticate intent, release rounds, and drive repeat participation.

Narrow the field, announce the final 20, and ladder into the challenge video.
Audience Journey
Each action reveals the next reason to return. Players move from awareness into repeated puzzle participation — advancing round by round until the field narrows to the Final 20.
Website evolution
Keep the public site open to everyone, gating only the contest participation layer. The campaign never feels closed, and contest integrity stays intact.
Early to mid July. Countdown to 9/1, pre-sale CTA, premise, light clue language, optional pre-sale mini-game.
Early August, revealed at the BookTok influencer event. Full rules pathway, how to play, eligibility, signup flow, reminder capture, key dates.
Sept 1: site opens to game mode. Account-gated contest area, clue release, answer entry, progress, elimination messaging.
After rounds. Status page, Final 20 announcement, results checking, bridge to the challenge video.
Early November. Public winner announcement, results recap, and the hand-off to the next title beat.
Core Game Mechanic
Each round follows the same loop: a clue drops, the reader searches the book, submits an answer, gets a state update, and returns when the next round opens.
Speed and accuracy determine who survives.
Puzzle Design System
All answers are derived from the existing book. The campaign creates the lens, not new printed content, so the experience stays fresh without changing the printed book.
Password architecture
A puzzle-driven launch built around one physical object: the printed book. We do not alter the text; we build mechanics around what already exists on the page. Every clue resolves back into the book, so owning it is the only edge. Because every copy is identical, the field stays fair while the race still rewards speed, attention, and precision.
How each prompt reaches players: social leaks, streams, OOH, Discord / Reddit, creator channels, or site drops.
Where the answer hides inside the book: plot details, names, dates, page structures, chapter patterns, counts, ciphers, or two-part keys.
How players submit: fields, combination locks, ordering tasks, timed gates, photo proof, audio gates, or cooldown-limited attempts.
Clue delivery system
Each drop can live on the hub, but the discovery layer should travel through the channels where the community already hunts. Clues can chain together: one mechanic narrows the page, another identifies the words, a third gates the final submission.
Instagram, TikTok, YouTube comments, Reddit, and Discord seed fragments organically into the community.
Printable overlays or transparent cards frame exact words on a page; a web-camera version can align the cutout in real time.
A degraded paragraph image with circled letters forces users to find the clean source in the book and reconstruct the message.
A 24 to 48 hour static feed drops clues through background audio or objects; rotating codes can expire to blunt copying.
A live feed or billboard becomes a public clue surface. The location pays off as a launch moment without advantaging attendees.
A MrBeast-native endurance mechanic: count a name, phrase, object, or event across the book. Exactness becomes the challenge.
Submission layer
How an answer is entered is part of the puzzle. Each mechanic is a different lock on the same printed book — tactile, fair, and built to reward repeat play. Hover any tile to operate it.
Contest Release Logic
Every clue drops to the field at the same moment; a round closes when the deadline hits or the solver cap fills, whichever comes first. Solving early is the advantage. Shared answers lose value once slots fill.
OOH+ concept
Digital OOH becomes the visible pressure system for the launch: a public timer, a QR entry point, and a simple pre-sale mini-game. Its job is attention, urgency, pre-sale conversion, and shareability. It should never give an unfair answer advantage.
Play the challenge, enter for a chance to win or unlock a pre-order incentive, and learn that the real game starts when the book launches.
OOH shifts from countdown to live status: round windows, survival count, final 20 momentum, and social prompts.
A physical OOH clue board refreshed weekly through the rounds — keeps the game visible in the real world and pulls players back to the site.
Social and content cadence
Not just a media calendar. MrBeast channels create cultural heat; Patterson, publisher, and contest channels carry the details, prompts, and evergreen explanation.
Cryptic posts, countdown fragments, visual symbols, short JD/JP tease if available.
How to play, why the book matters, what is at stake, reminder capture — revealed at the BookTok influencer event.
Round prompts released across Jimmy, Patterson, publisher, and contest channels, with an influencer push on the first challenge.
Deadline reminders, survival counts, reaction posts, 'you are out / still in' language.
Final 20 announcement, hero reactions, bridge to the challenge video.
Visual system
Not 'YouTube bright.' Not 'publishing generic.' The look bridges Patterson thriller credibility with MrBeast game mechanics: blood red, black, off-white, stark silhouettes, puzzle iconography, timers, locked states, and cinematic contrast.
Black, blood red, bone white, aged paper, metallic accent.
Symbols, grids, locks, page marks, diagrams, timers.
Dangerous, direct, urgent, participatory, legible.
Look and feel, asset toolkit, press kit, social templates, OOH/video specs, website UI system.
Technical and operational architecture
The player sees a clean contest flow. The client gets the infrastructure, compliance, and reporting needed to run it at scale.
Recommended timeline
Immediate priority: lock the campaign architecture, website state map, design language, content calendar, and round model so production can move in parallel.
Next steps
Eligibility, purchase verification, alternate entry, prize language, final 20 methodology.
Phase map, website states, round cadence, channel roles, OOH role.
Design system, countdown site, content calendar, puzzle design, technical planning, QA path.
